Laminated glass

If you’re looking for laminated glass in Panama for your projects, home, or office, we have what you need. We offer high-quality laminated glass, from two panels onward, that’s durable, safe, and available in a variety of colors. Below are the main features of this type of safety glass:

Laminated glass features

This glass has the appearance of a sandwich and is manufactured by bonding two or more layers with an intercalated film of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). PVB is a polymer composed of polyvinyl alcohol and butyraldehyde. This film offers a higher level of protection against impact and/or penetration than simply tempered or raw/float glass. In the event of breakage, PVB retains glass fragments and prevents broken pieces from falling everywhere. It is a glass with excellent optical quality, low emissivity, and solar control. Additionally, PVB provides a higher percentage of noise reduction.

Laminated glass is considered a type of composite glass because it consists of at least two uniform, monolithic pieces joined together to form a fixed, permanent assembly, rather than a single, fused panel (as is the case with raw or float glass).

It’s important to clarify that laminated glass can be composed of raw or tempered glass panels, depending on the expected performance and technical requirements of the project to be used.

At Kefren, we offer laminated glass from 6mm thick onwards in a variety of colors, ideal for any design you have in mind.
